While most of us are worried about Russia, this article thinks it likely Kim Jong Un will follow up a “blitzkrieg of weapons tests and rhetoric” with a possible nuclear attack on South Korea. Buoyed with support from both Russia and China, this may be the year he decides to take South Korea by force rather than peaceful reunification.
Just stop and think about the economic blow such a war would be, even if it does not go nuclear. South Korea is the fifth largest exporter in the world, and the home of such well-known brands as Samsung and Hyundai. The U.S. and China are their top two trading partners with electronics, automobiles, steel and chemicals among South Korea’s largest industries.
On the other hand, it could just be North Korea posturing and trying to get attention during a U.S. election year. Regardless, it’s worth keeping on your prepping radar.
