Affiliates and Recommendations

In the preparedness community, blind trust can be a liability. The companies and products listed below are here for one reason: Pete personally use them, and in some cases, has for years.

Note that we do not sell these products, but these are affiliate partners, meaning if you purchase through these links, I earn a small commission to help keep this site running, at no extra cost to you.

Enoch File

Pete is such a believer in Enoch Worx and their mission of decentralized data sovereignty that he became a financial investor in the company and their Enoch File document management app. If you use the discount code “Pickled” at checkout, you can get a free month of the premium version or apply the same $3.99 discount to an annual subscription

OneGold

Pete uses OneGold to buy silver on a monthly basis, achieving dollar cost averaging. They pull the money from his checking account, buy the silver, and hold it in a vault. Whenever he wants, he can have it sent to him as hard currency or cash it in and they will transfer the proceeds back to his bank accounts. He considers it a way to invest in precious metals over time without the need to go to the coin store or pawn shop.

if you sign up using this link and you spend $1,000 or more with OneGold, they will add $20 to your account and they will also add $20 to Pete’s account. Once you are a member, you can then offer the same $20 deal to your friends and family.

Recommendations

We do not sell products like long-term storage food or gold because we frequently write about these topics and it might be perceived as a conflict of interest. However, if you need long-term storage good, Pete recommends Rainy Day Foods. I also have some Auguson Farms products, neither of which are affiliates. I recommend you avoid buckets with “meals” in them for reasons discussed in this post.

Pete is also a fan of Glock’s, Kimbers, the Ruger 10/22, and both Mossberg and Remington shotguns. For suggestions on a prepper’s armory, check out this post.
