Proving that nothing good ever comes from leaving the mountain, both my wife and I caught COVID.
Actually, I can’t blame it on my Special Assignment and my trips to the Big City. My wife caught it and shared it with me. She went to a meeting of one of her volunteer organizations, and three people who attended got sick. One tested positive for COVID. Word spread via text chain, so other people tested, and five of them were positive. Once my wife tested positive, I tested and came back positive.
Apparently, this year’s COVID is a pretty infectious variant. But the good news is it feels like a bad cold. Lots of congestion. A few body aches. She had a fever. I did not. Of course, there’s still time.
We are supposed to stay home for seven days.
First Time
This may surprise you, but it’s the first time I caught COVID. I missed it years ago. Lots has changed since then, including the virus itself.
It’s kind of weird considering that this blog started out as a way to document our self-quarantine back in 2020. Now we’ve come full circle.
Not yet sure what this will mean for future posts. I know they have been appearing on somewhat random days, or not at all. More of both in the future, I suspect.
Notice how we haven’t heard anything about the pneumonic plague? Does that mean it was a false alarm, or that Russia is sitting on any news?

Hope you guys are feeling better.
