Prepper Diary

Wind chills drop to the negative teens and we work on keeping the house warm and preventing our pipes from freezing.

We are enjoyed a white Christmas, which is both a blessing and a little but of a curse when you live on a steep mountain. This is the time of year when you wish you owned a snow machine.

We continue to learn while heating our house with wood, We also do some exploring of local general stores and other resources.

As much of the North East was blanketed with snow, we weather our first winter storm in our new prepper property.

With a wood stove, its easy to male the room too hot, but that is probably better than being too cold. We struggle to find the sweet spot.

Our move is over but the unpacking will take days. We are exhausted, but the poor truck diver had a really bad trip.

The move is now 24 hours away and the house is a wasteland, with nothing to eat and no table at which to sit and eat. We can't wait to move to our prepper property.

It's a busy week at Pete's house as the move gets closer, COVID-19 gets worse, and he still needs a new truck.

Our impending move is made more challenging by the destruction of my pickup truck, but we persevere by renting a Ram 1500.
