Houston Floods Again as Hurricane Beryl Hits Texas

Not that long ago, I gave my advice to people living in Houston: leave. Too late now. Hurricane Beryl plowed into the Texas city early Monday morning, causing more flooding, knocking out power to millions of people as temperatures are forecast to climb above 100, and leaving three dead, including a police officer who drowned in his car.

I feel for people whose homes are damaged, but I also have to wonder: how many times does Mother Nature have to slap you upside the head before you get the message? If you must stay in Houston, at least live on what passes for high ground.
