According to my favorite YouTube weatherman, Ryan Hall, parts of Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky and North Carolina could all see up to six inches of snow Friday through Sunday. The Ohio Valley into Pennsylvania and then up into the Northeast will also see a winter storm this weekend, meaning half the country, and more than half of the population, will probably see some serious winter weather from the second major snow storm of 2025.

On top of this, the extreme cold temperatures from the polar vortex will continue. This will be bad news for folks without power and heat as some extreme outages are expected to last as long as five days. Travel will also be a mess, so buckle up, or do the smart thing and stay home.
