Winter Storm Strands Georgia Drivers Overnight

Some drivers near Macon, Ga., were stuck in their cars for more than 12 hours after a winter storm earlier this week clogged highways and made it impossible to drive. This is despite plenty of advance warning and the media telling drivers to stay home.

Some people parked in gas stations while others abandoned their cars, leaving them on the side of the road. Most stayed in their cars, calling it an uncomfortable experience.

I’m betting not one in ten had a winter survival kit in their vehicle.
