COVID-19 is killing a couple thousand people per day in the U.S., but the shutdown is killing far more jobs and companies. The battlefield is shifting from the hospital to Main Street as protests increase.

Deaths in the U.S. exceeded 2,000 again, which may squash public outcry at governors extending their stay home orders just as the Trump team announce their three-phase plan to reopen the economy.

I broke quarantine to go to Sam’s Club this morning and spend $350 of our stimulus check on food. Some things were better than expected, some worse, and a few surprised me. A full report follows.

Although reported cases of COVID-19 continue to grow at 30,000 to 34,000 per day, we're seeing good progress being made as the rate of growth across the states slows remarkably.
