After the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin, calling him a criminal for kidnapping Ukrainian children and relocating them to Russia, 122 countries were placed in the awkward position of being required to arrest him if he visits their country. When a German politician threatened to do just that, former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev reportedly said “Such action would amount to a declaration of war and trigger a Russian strike on Germany.”
I guess they’d aim to miss wherever the Germans were holding Putin.
Of course, this isn’t the first time Medvedev has threatened to nuke another country. He is often a mouthpiece that issues such threats so that Putin himself doesn’t have to.
