Quarantine Day 20: Curb-Side Grocery Pick-up

We did curbside pick-up for our groceries today, and despite the three day wait, it was worth well worth it. We received more than $100 worth of groceries without entering the store or touching a cart. We only saw one person, our shopper, and she kept her distance while being very friendly and personable.

It’s Day 16 and we’ve totally adapted to being locked in. I guess whomever it was that said it takes two weeks to make something a habit was right. Quarantine Day 14, Sunshine and Phone Time

We had French toast for breakfast, made with our homemade bread, and it wasn’t bad. As you can see in the photo, I let the load bake a bit too long and the crust was thicker and harder than I like. This bread would make great croutons, stuffing, or bread crumbs. But it is filling; two slices will hold you for many hours.

Taking it Easy on Quarantine Days 11 and 12

Day 11 and 12 of quarantine continued to be fairly low key. The weather has been wet, so we’re largely staying indoors. The highlight of my day was a nap in the late afternoon and a number of lengthy phone calls with friends and family.

After 10 days, we have adjusted to our life in quarantine and settled into a routine. We’ve adapted to being home full time and are getting along well. We’ve determined that it is important to have goals and to schedule at least one activity or chore per day.
