Surprised to see CNN admit that inflation “has done lots of economic damage.” Research from Moody’s says the typically family is spending $709 more per month to buy the same things they bought two years ago. That’s quite a wallop on the wallet. To break even, the breadwinner would have to have seen a $4.50 per hour raise in that time, and that’s unlikely.

Most of the extra costs are due to rising housing prices, more expensive groceries, and insurance.
