Reported cases of COVID-19 increased by 25,500 yesterday to 1,584,800, an increase of 1.6 percent. Deaths were up 1,314, or 1.4 percent, to 94,722.
Globally, it was the second consecutive day of that registered more than 100,000 cases as the number reported by Johns Hopkins has climbed to 5.128 million. Worldwide, deaths attributed to the coronavirus have reached 333,489.
Twenty-one states are relaxing their stay-home restrictions to some degree today. Alaska, which has only 402 cases (o.o25 percent of the country’s total) , is the first state to completely reopen all business and remove any restrictions.
